Job summary

Five Star Electric, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a Sr Electrical Estimator for our Ozone Park, New York office to lead cost estimates for complex electrical projects in the greater New York area.

You will analyze drawings, coordinate with project teams, mentor junior staff, and help refine estimating standards. This role demands strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and estimating software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of electrical estimating experience, preferably with an electrical contractor.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid or ConEst.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed electrical estimates for large projects.
• Review plans and specs to determine scope and requirements.
• Perform quantity take-offs for electrical systems (power, lighting, etc.).
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Develop labor, material, and equipment cost estimates.
• Mentor junior estimators and refine estimating processes.
