Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Senior Estimator (Electrical) in New York. The role involves developing and leading the total project estimate, coordinating with the project team, and analyzing risks.

You will maintain local rate libraries and advise on contingencies, with emphasis on strong communication and client relations. Ideal candidates have 10+ years of construction estimating experience, proficiency with Sage Timberline, InEight or CostX, and a construction-related degree.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Estimator experience with increasing scope and responsibility in a construction environment.
• Experience using estimating systems such as Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX.
• Degree or comparable experience in a construction related discipline.
• RICS, CEP or CPE chartered or on path to complete it.
• Excellent communicator verbally and in writing.
• Detail oriented and quality focused.
• Thrive on building strong relationships with your team and clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team
• Lead the development of the total project estimate
• Prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis, making cost contingency recommendations to the project team
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization, project objectives and guidelines
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates
