Job summary

gpac, on behalf of a local Indianapolis electrical contractor, is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead the estimating process for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. You will review specs, drawings, and scope to develop competitive bids and conduct detailed take-offs.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of electrical estimating experience, proficiency with Accubid, McCormick, or Conest, and strong cost control.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical estimating experience with an electrical contractor.
• Proficient in evaluating commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specs, and contracts with precision.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process for large-scale electrical projects.
• Develop comprehensive bids from drawings, specs and scope.
• Conduct detailed take-offs for material and labor costs.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers and field teams for project execution.
• Mentor junior estimators and share technical guidance.
• Pursue value engineering to optimize project costs.
