Job summary

GPAC is assisting a local Las Vegas electrical contractor to hire a Senior Electrical Estimator. The role leads the estimating process for large-scale electrical projects, develops competitive bids, and partners with PMs, engineers, and field teams to ensure successful execution.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of electrical estimating experience, strong cost-control skills, and proficiency with major estimating tools. A strategic thinker with leadership ability is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical estimating experience with an electrical contractor.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, or Conest.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and cost control.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts with precision.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process for large-scale commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical projects.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and scope to develop comprehensive and competitive bids.
• Conduct detailed take-offs, ensuring accurate material and labor cost estimates.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Analyze historical cost data and supplier pricing to improve estimating accuracy.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and job site walkthroughs to verify project conditions.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to secure competitive pricing.
• Oversee junior estimators, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
• Collaborate on value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs and efficiency.
• Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, industry regulations, and contract requirements.
