Job summary

BBSI is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and industrial electrical projects. This role will collaborate with project managers, field teams, vendors, and leadership to support successful project execution and company growth.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of electrical estimating experience, strong NEC knowledge, and proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, PlanSwift, or Procore.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical estimating experience in commercial/industrial construction.
• Strong NEC knowledge and ability to read electrical drawings.
• Experience with multiple estimating software packages.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, RFIs, and project documents to determine scope of work.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
• Support project handoff and scope review with operations teams.
