Job summary

PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead the estimation process for moderately complex electrical projects from the Kansas City office. You will develop accurate cost assessments and competitive bids, collaborating with multiple departments to deliver thorough estimates.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of estimating experience in construction, with preference for electrical utilities projects such as transmission lines, substations, or distribution.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in a construction-related industry.
• Strong knowledge of bid development and cost estimation processes.
• Preferred experience with Electrical Utilities - Transmission Lines, Substation, or Distribution.

Responsibilities

• Develop bid hour and bid sheets for estimates on bid projects.
• Contact suppliers for pricing and negotiate pricing.
• Prepare take-offs, staking sheets.
• Create logistics plans for materials.
• Familiarize with bid documents and site visits as needed.
• Timely inform department of project status and assignments.
• Analyze blueprints to estimate time, cost, materials and labor for large projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, customers, engineers, owners, contractors, and subcontractors.
