Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Estimator to join a well established and growing team in the Kansas City market.

This is a role for someone who is detail oriented, driven, and looking to grow within the electrical construction space. You will play a key role in building accurate, competitive estimates while working closely with internal teams and external partners to bring projects together from the early stages.

What You Will Be Doing

• Review project plans and specifications to build complete and accurate estimates
• Develop material and labor cost breakdowns for proposals
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to gather and evaluate pricing
• Analyze equipment and system costs, including opportunities for value engineering
• Review project scope for potential risks and cost considerations
• Assist in pricing general conditions and indirect project costs
• Maintain and update historical cost data to support future estimates
• Prepare and present detailed proposals to internal stakeholders

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience in electrical estimating or relevant field experience
• Background in electrical construction, either in the field or office
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred but not required
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Comfortable working in an in office environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with Trimble Accubid will set you apart from others

Preferred Skills

• Background in the field as an Electrician, Foreman, or General Foreman
• Strong understanding of job site logistics, labor productivity, and project flow
• Ability to identify risks and think beyond just material takeoffs
