Job summary

A-C Electric Company is seeking an Electrical Estimator in Fresno, CA to produce cost estimates for electrical projects, bid work, and portions of contract proposals. The role requires determining scope, reviewing design options, and pricing field change orders.

You'll interact with clients, vendors, engineers, architects, and subcontractors while developing estimating policies and ensuring QA/QC prior to client submission. A four-year degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Four-year business or engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Standards: NEC, NFPA, UL, and ISA in design and documentation.
• Plans: read and interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, P&IDs, layout drawings and modify them for optimization.

Responsibilities

• Estimate electrical projects and bid work; prepare portions of contract proposal estimates.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, engineers, architects, building officials, owners, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Determine the scope of work, review design options, and price field change orders.
• Develop estimating policies, procedures, and QA/QC of all estimates prior to client submission.
