Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team in the Louisville, KY area. The successful candidate will prepare accurate electrical estimates for projects such as distribution centers, automotive facilities, and data centers, with a solid grasp of bid depository regulations and electrical drawings.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and at least 10 years of heavy industrial estimation experience, including ~$50M projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of electrical estimation experience in heavy industrial construction (distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, data centers).
• Experience estimating projects around $50M+ in value.
• Proficiency in Accubid software and other estimation tools.
• Strong knowledge of electrical trade scope and bid depository regulations.
• Ability to interpret and analyze complex electrical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate drawings and specs to produce accurate costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Ensure bids comply with bid depository regulations and are accurate.
• Use Accubid to develop and maintain project cost controls.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and contractors to obtain detailed estimate information.
• Review cost discrepancies for management review.
• Participate in bid/proposal meetings and respond to client questions.
• Stay informed on industry trends, standards, and best practices.
• Support team through related tasks as needed.
