Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Senior Project Estimator in Houston to develop accurate construction cost estimates for multi-discipline EPC projects in chemical, petrochemical, and oil & gas sectors. You will produce cost estimates for electrical and I&C scopes, interpret plans, and support bid packages.

Ideal candidates have a background in industrial construction, strong math skills, and proficiency with Excel and estimating software such as Bluebeam, McCormick or Accubid.

Qualifications

• Develop conceptual and detailed construction cost estimates for electrical and I&C scopes.
• Interpret plans and specifications across design phases and generate takeoffs and pricing.
• Assist in preparing detailed estimates for electrical and instrumentation scopes.
• Analyze drawings to identify materials, labor, and equipment needs.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using estimating software and digital tools.
• Support review of subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement and PM teams for accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detail construction cost estimates for all electrical and I&C systems.
• Interpret plans & specifications from multiple design phases and generate pricing.
• Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for electrical & instrumentation scopes.
• Analyze drawings, specifications and project docs to identify needs.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using digital tools and estimating software.
• Support review and analysis of subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement and project management teams.
