Job summary

The Judge Group, INC. is seeking a Senior Facility Mechanical Estimator with 5+ years of experience estimating pipeline construction or facility projects in the oil and gas sector. Responsibilities include detailed cost estimation and collaboration with project teams for bids ranging from 2M to 35M dollars.

This onsite role is based in Mont Belvieu, TX. Candidates must have hands-on experience with Hard Dollar, MS Project, Primavera P6, OnScreen Takeoff, and Excel, and a proven track record

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience estimating pipeline construction or facility projects in oil & gas.
• Strong knowledge of pipeline construction methods, welding and manufacturing, compressor/pump stations, and facility tie-ins.
• Experience with RFQs, P&IDs, isometrics, and client specifications.
• Experience with unit rate and lump-sum estimating.

The Judge Group is seeking a Senior Facility Mechanical Estimator with 5+ years of experience estimating pipeline construction or facility projects within the oil and gas industry for projects from 2 million to 35 million dollars.

COMPENSATION: 140k to 165k plus bonus

LOCATION: Onsite position located in Mont Belvieu

MUST HAVE: 5+ years of experience estimating pipeline construction or facility projects within the oil and gas industry

MUST HAVE: Strong knowledge of pipeline construction methods, welding and manufacturing, compressor/pump stations, and facility tie-ins

MUST HAVE: Experience with Hard Dollar, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, OnScreen Takeoff, Excel

MUST HAVE: Track record preparing estimates from RFQs, P&IDs, isometrics, and client specifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for pipeline, facility, and integrity projects


• Ensures bids reflect our field expertise and are competitive and profitable


• Work with project management, engineering, procurement, and field operations teams to develop cost models


• Prepare pipeline estimates


• Prepare cost estimates for assorting projects (Oil and Gas Pipeline Construction, Gathering Systems, Tie-ins, - Compressor Stations, Pipeline Integrity Projects)


• Attend pre-bid meetings


• Review RFQs, technical drawings, and project scopes


• Evaluate field conditions


• Utilize estimating tools, databases to build all-inclusive (Direct Labor, Equipment, Materials, Subcontractor, Indirect - Costs) competitive bids


• Collaboration with operations


• Develop bid strategies


• Participate in estimate reviews


• Update cost history database (Productivity Metrics, Material Pricing) for accuracy


• Support project handover

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of experience estimating pipeline construction or facility projects within the oil and gas industry


• Strong knowledge of pipeline construction methods, welding and manufacturing, compressor/pump stations, and facility tie-ins.


• Experience with Hard Dollar, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, OnScreen Takeoff, Excel.


• Track record preparing estimates from RFQs, P&IDs, isometrics, and client specifications.


• Experience with unit rate and lump-sum estimating.


• Prior field experience in pipeline or facility construction is highly desirable.


• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field preferred.
