Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced estimator to lead detailed electrical, technology, and low-voltage project estimates for mission-critical data center programs. You will perform quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and life-cycle considerations from design through construction, engaging with design teams, vendors, and owners to ensure accurate, competitive bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of estimating experience in Electrical/Technology/Low Voltage systems
• Extensive knowledge of Electrical, Technology, and Low Voltage systems
• Ability to develop cost analyses from drawings and specs
• Strong vendor and trade partner relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating for complex projects with MEP packages of $25M+ and determine required scopes
• Prepare complete quantity take-offs, analyses, estimates, and studies for Electrical, Technology, and Low Voltage systems from conceptual design through construction documents
• Collaborate with project staff, architects, engineers, and owners to communicate estimates and scopes of work
• Develop relationships with vendors and trade partners to secure current pricing and bid opportunities
• Perform constructability analysis and communicate issues to the design and project teams
• Participate in life cycle cost analysis with design teams and in procurement decisions
• Coordinate with Operations and Estimators to address general conditions and early cost implications
• Prepare and assemble estimates for different contract types and participate in client reviews
• Assist hand-off to Operations to ensure knowledge transfer and minimize scope gaps
• Support training and integration of MEP staff during PreCon
