Epic Healthcare in Toms River, NJ is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to take full ownership of commercial estimating. You will manage every bid, number, and proposal, using AI-powered takeoff tools and traditional methods to deliver reliable, fast estimates.
You will review drawings, apply NEC knowledge, and collaborate with clients and project teams to negotiate contracts and refine estimates while scaling processes for growth.
We’re a fast-growing electrical contractor, and we’re looking for a Senior Electrical Estimator to take full ownership of our commercial estimating. This isn’t a seat on a large estimating team. You’ll run the function: every commercial bid, every number, every proposal. If you want your work to directly shape which projects we win and how fast we grow, this is that role.
We estimate differently. We use AI-powered takeoff and estimating tools to move faster and bid more work without sacrificing accuracy. You should be someone who sees AI as a competitive advantage, picks up new tools quickly, and is always looking for a smarter way to get to a reliable number.
Own the full commercial estimating process, from bid invitation through final proposal, and be accountable for its accuracy, speed, and win rate.
Prepare electrical estimates, project budgets, pricing, and material cost assessments using AI-driven and traditional estimating software, including TogalAI, PlanSwift, and EBM.
Review construction drawings, electrical blueprints, and schematics to identify scope, quantities, and project requirements.
Apply your knowledge of electrical systems, building codes, and the National Electrical Code (NEC) to every estimate.
Drive cost control by evaluating project risks, validating assumptions, and refining estimates before they go out the door.
Work directly with clients and project teams; take part in negotiations and review contracts alongside construction management and project management.
Continuously improve how we estimate by adopting new AI tools, tightening workflows, and building processes that scale as we grow.
Required: Proven electrical estimating experience, with a background in construction and electrical work.
Required: Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings.
Required: Hands-on experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office, plus a solid grasp of pricing, material costs, and construction budgets.
Required: Comfort with AI tools and a genuine drive to learn and apply them in your daily work.
Preferred: Electrical field experience.
Preferred: Experience supporting construction or project management, client communication, or contract negotiations.
You want ownership, not oversight. You’d rather be accountable for results than hand work up the chain.
You’re ambitious and want to grow with a company that’s moving fast.
You’re an early adopter. When a new tool can save hours on a takeoff, you’ve already tried it.
You care about getting the number right, because you know projects are won and lost on it.
