Summary/Objective:

The Sr. Electrical Estimator is responsible for estimating the cost, time, materials, labor, and equipment for construction projects. This includes performing cost analyses, determining project duration, procuring pricing from vendors and subcontractors, managing resources, and meeting deadlines. This position requires no direct supervision.

Essential Functions:

1. Determine the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for construction projects.
2. Research construction documents and analyze specifications.
3. Review RFPs and design documents; prepare RFIs as needed.
4. Prepare estimates to meet project goals, including setting work hours, sequencing tasks, obtaining materials, and securing the best deals with vendors and subcontractors.
5. Manage pre-qualifications and pre-bid submissions.
6. Create the project BOM for the estimate and submit it for pricing.
7. Update the estimating tracker daily.
8. Ensure relevant documents and budgets are submitted before bid deadlines.
9. Formulate contingency plans and manage risks impacting cost and time estimates.
10. Stay updated with the latest estimating technology and industry trends.
11. Collaborate with other teams and conduct site visits as needed.
12. Attend estimate review meetings.
13. Assist with project management tasks as needed.
14. Maintain professionalism with clients, vendors, and colleagues; foster positive working relationships.
15. Provide timely and complete documentation of work performed.
16. Operate vehicles and equipment safely, adhere to safety protocols, report hazards, and contribute to a safe working environment.

Required Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent education and experience.
2. 7+ years of estimating experience.

Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Applied Science, Architecture, or equivalent work experience.
2. 7+ years of Electrical, Mechanical, or Infrastructure estimating experience.
3. Experience as a commercial general contractor/construction manager.
4. PMP Certification.
