Description

A 60-year-old electrical services provider specializing in the installation of electrical systems for commercial clients across industries such as Multifamily, Hospitality, Government, Education, and Healthcare is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join their team in Tampa or Orlando.

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to particular bid or project.
2. Provide complete conceptual and final estimating input on complex projects.
3. Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc., to determine scope of work and required contents of project estimate.
4. Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc., into unit and man-hour figures.
5. Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work using estimating software.
6. Ascertain any risks related to the estimate to guarantee provisions are made for those risks in the tender.
7. Ensure estimates are complete, well-organized, and ready for review before deadlines.
8. Maintain files of working documents as backups and coordinate with field operations on successful bids for a smooth transition.
9. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior estimators and other Preconstruction team members.

Requirements

1. 8+ years of estimating experience in electrical construction.
2. Experience estimating and negotiating large, complex projects.
3. Thorough knowledge of company procedures, estimating techniques, and software.
4. Proficiency with Accubid, Accubid Anywhere, and/or Accubid Live Count software is required.
