Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Electrical Engineering Leader to build and guide the Sustainability team, elevating electrical system performance, safety, and reliability across facilities.

Lead power systems studies, arc flash analyses, and safety programs while collaborating with facilities, operations, and engineering teams. You will drive sustainable practices, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and mentor a multidisciplinary team, with opportunities for travel to client sites and ongoing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
• PE license required.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance for access to classified information.
• Valid/active U.S. work authorization.
• Knowledge of electrical power and distribution systems.
• Experience interpreting electrical drawings and protective relaying schemes.
• Experience pricing and developing proposals for engineering scopes of work.
• Experience conducting Arc Flash Hazard Analysis using NFPA 70E and IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc flash hazard analysis per IEEE 1584 and NFPA 70E.
• Conduct short-circuit, protective device coordination, and load flow studies.
• Develop electrical models using SKM, PowerTools, ETAP or EasyPower.
• Collect and interpret site electrical data and one-line diagrams.
• Update electrical one-line diagrams for client facilities.
• Prepare arc flash reports with incident energy calculations and PPE recommendations.
• Provide guidance on electrical safety compliance and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with field technicians, safety personnel and project managers.
• Develop and deliver training materials on electrical safety and arc flash awareness.
