Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in San Francisco, California to design water and wastewater infrastructure and related systems. You’ll lead electrical design across facilities, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on projects nationwide.

The role emphasizes practical solutions, coordination with process and instrumentation diagrams, and construction phase support, with a hybrid work model and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering; PE license in CA preferred.
• 7+ years of electrical design experience for buildings, water, wastewater, or industrial facilities.
• Experience designing and sealing medium to large electrical projects across full lifecycle.
• Willingness to travel for client workshops and site visits.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including MCCs, switchgear, and power distribution.
• Perform load flow, short circuit, and arc-flash analyses.
• Prepare conceptual reports and construction plans.
• Work in Revit, CAD, SKM, and BIM-based environments.
• Coordinate P&IDs and electrical schematics with process equipment.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
