Job summary

Kennedy Jenks Consulting in Sacramento, California is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across water and wastewater facilities. This role offers a hybrid model of home and office work with a minimum two days per week in the office.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate multi-discipline teams, and deliver practical, code-compliant solutions from planning through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in electrical infrastructure projects.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required in California, with ability to obtain licensure in other states through reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems across power, lighting, fire alarm and related systems.
• Perform engineering analyses including load flow, voltage drop, fault studies and arc-flash analyses.
• Prepare design deliverables such as conceptual reports, construction plans, and CSI specifications.
• Coordinate P&IDs and electrical schematics with process equipment.
• Support construction administration through review of submittals and RFIs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
