Job summary

Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in San Francisco, CA. The role focuses on electrical design for water and wastewater infrastructure, with opportunities for technical leadership and mentorship within a growing team.

You will work across planning through construction, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable, code-compliant solutions nationwide. Hybrid work is offered with two days in-office minimum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Active PE license in California with ability to obtain licensure in other states.
• 7+ years of experience in buildings and water/wastewater/industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for water and industrial facilities, including power, lighting, and safety systems.
• Perform load flow, short circuit, relay coordination, and arc-flash studies.
• Prepare design deliverables such as reports, construction plans, and CSI specifications.
• Coordinate P&IDs and electrical schematics with process equipment.
• Review submittals and provide engineering solutions to RFIs during construction.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions.
