Job summary

Arcadis seeks an Electrical Engineer to join our Los Angeles or Irvine office, focusing on electrical power distribution, motor controls, lighting, and grounding for water facilities. You will design, calculate, and produce one-line diagrams and control schematics while mentoring juniors and coordinating with the Control Systems team.

The role requires a BSEE, 7 years’ experience, NEC knowledge, and CA PE or reciprocity.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with focus on power.
7 years of relevant work experience.
FE/EIT certificate required.
Licensed California PE or reciprocity required.

Responsibilities

Design electrical power distribution, motor controls, lighting, and grounding for water facilities.
Prepare one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, and specs.
Coordinate with Control Systems group and oversee junior staff.
Review submittals, respond to RFIs, conduct field inspections, QA/QC and safety compliance.
Perform or supervise power system analyses using ETAP or SKM; arc flash studies.
Travel 5–10% within Southern California.
