Job summary

Arcadis seeks an Electrical Engineer for its Los Angeles or Irvine offices, focusing on electrical power distribution, motor controls, lighting, and grounding for water facilities. The role includes mentoring junior staff, coordination with the Control Systems group, and oversight during construction with submittals, RFIs, and field inspections.

The candidate will perform power system analyses (ETAP/SKM) and arc flash studies, travel 5–10% within Southern California.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and NFPA standards.
Basic understanding of AutoCAD.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project, Outlook).
Knowledge of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, Field Instrumentation, and PLCs as they relate to electrical design.

Responsibilities

Support planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities with focus on electrical design and coordination.
Develop design criteria, perform calculations, and prepare one-line diagrams and control schematics.
Prepare plans and specifications and review submittals; respond to RFIs; conduct field inspections; ensure QA/QC and safety compliance.
Perform or supervise power system analyses using ETAP or SKM, including arc flash studies; travel 5–10% within Southern California.
