Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Technical Manager, Electrical Engineer to join the Industrial Center of Excellence. You will lead electrical design for large-scale industrial facilities and serve as a client-facing technical leader within the Property & Buildings - Industrial team.

This role requires PE licensure, a BS in Electrical Engineering, and 10+ years of experience; you will mentor junior staff, drive design excellence, and oversee budgets, schedules, and cross-disciplinary coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical design for industrial facilities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and standards.
• Experience with client engagement and business development strategies.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical engineering design for large-scale industrial projects.
• Lead the design and oversight of electrical systems (power distribution, generation, lighting, life safety).
• Provide technical direction and quality oversight for multi-disciplinary teams.
• Act as client-facing leader and support business development.
• Oversee proposal development, scope definition, and project planning.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and coordination across engineering disciplines.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement.
