Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Technical Director, Electrical Engineer to lead and oversee large-scale electrical infrastructure projects within the Industrial Center of Excellence. You will coordinate design, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor junior staff across multiple offices in the U.S.

The role requires a PE license, extensive design experience in power generation, transmission, and distribution, and a proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client expectations in a fast-paced

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
12+ years of post-education experience in electrical engineering.
Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
Strong knowledge of electrical design, codes, and regulations.
Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams (P&C, SCADA, telecom).
Ability to lead and manage mid-to-senior level project members and budgets.

Responsibilities

Oversee design plans for complex electrical infrastructure projects and ensure compliance with codes.
Coordinate and review electrical design deliverables with multiple stakeholders.
Lead project budgeting, tracking hours and expenses, and supervision of subcontractors.
Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates; manage safety plans.
Mentor staff and stay current with latest electrical engineering techniques.
