Elucent Medical, Inc. in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to develop electronics for an electromagnetic positioning system used in surgical navigation.

You will design, test, and maintain schematics and board layouts, and contribute to a complete, ready-to-sell medical device product as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role requires a BA/BS/Master’s in electrical engineering and at least three years of medical device development experience, with hands-on deployment,

Qualifications

• BA, BS, or MS in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ development experience in the medical device field.
• Experience with electrical systems deployment to medical device targets.
• Experience with electronics schematic capture and layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop electronics for an electromagnetic positioning system.
• Design and maintain schematics and board layouts; run tests and studies.
• Prototype assembly, evaluation, and testing.
• Perform formal verification testing and prepare test protocols and reports.
• Document components qualifications and build EnVisio systems for pilot/low-rate production.
• Suggest improvements and ensure regulatory compliance.
