Job summary

Loft Orbital seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead detailed board design and power electronics for space missions. You will collaborate with mechanical, systems, and program teams to deliver hardware that meets mission needs and supports various bus protocols.

Strong experience in space hardware integration, FPFA exposure, scripting, and external supplier management will help drive multiple board designs forward.

Qualifications

• Experience owning a board design from concept to delivery.
• Familiarity with space/embedded bus protocols and hardware integration.
• Senior-level electrical engineering background with FPGA exposure.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Own detailed board design work for new missions and power supply designs.
• Serve as technical contact for electrical requirements across teams.
• Work with various bus protocols and space vehicle subsystems.
• Assist with harness schematics, ICD reviews, and system-level questions.
• Collaborate with hardware and electrical systems engineers on multiple designs.
