Amazon Leo is building a constellations of Low Earth Orbit satellites to deliver low-latency, high-speed broadband globally. The Sr Electrical Engineer will lead electrical design and analysis across satellite and ground subsystems, owning schematic design, component selection, and board bring-up while coordinating with government customers and teams.

Role emphasizes trades, data-backed design decisions, and preparation of reports and proposals. TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship are required.

• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.

Mansioni

• Interact directly with customers to understand requirements and translate them into robust solutions.
• Electrical circuit design for hosting sensitive RF and communications payloads including processing, memory, and buses.
• Design electronic circuits including Analog Power, Digital Design, Mixed-Signal ADC/DAC, Processors, FPGA, MCU, SoC, Memory, Transceivers, Clock generation and distribution.
• Analyze circuits using software tools for performance and characterization including SI and PI on PCB designs.
• Identify top level customer requirements and ensure high quality, innovative designs.
• Perform electrical design and layout trade studies for sub-systems with cross-discipline inputs.
• Facilitate cost trades on parallel configurations for cost/manufacturability vs design uncertainty.
• Deliver well-written documentation, reports, and presentations for technical reviews and proposals.
• Design and support test campaigns for space hardware.
