Job summary

Rocketdyne in Canoga Park, CA or Redmond, WA seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to develop cutting-edge space power electronics. You will design power converters, analyze circuits, and oversee PCB layout, collaborating with mechanical, software, and system teams from concept to production.

Candidates will mentor junior engineers, lead critical verification, and support proposals and trades studies. Occasional travel and ability to obtain US security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree adds 4+ years, or 10+ years of related work in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with power converters, control loops, and mixed-signal design for space power systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect power converter solutions for space power and propulsion applications.
• Lead detailed circuit design, analysis, simulation, and PCB oversight.
• Perform high-level debugging, integration, and acceptance testing of hardware.
• Mentor engineers and support cross-functional teams; travel as needed.
• Assist in proposals, feasibility studies, and concept development.
