Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to lead development of complex electronics assemblies for aerospace, defense, and space-grade applications.

You will design high-performance digital and mixed-signal hardware, develop circuits with FPGAs and microcontrollers, and create detailed schematics and PCB layouts. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in board-level electronics, and proven production transitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required (ABET-accredited).
• 5+ years in designing, analyzing, and testing board-level electronics.
• High-reliability hardware experience for aerospace/defense/space or mission-critical apps.
• Proficiency with PCB design and schematic capture tools (Altium Designer).
• Experience taking designs from concept through release and production.
• Strong digital and mixed-signal circuit design background.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of complex electronics assemblies from concept through production deployment.
• Design high-performance digital and mixed-signal hardware for RF and related applications.
• Develop circuits using FPGAs, microprocessors, memory, and programmable tech.
• Create detailed schematics, component choices, and documentation for advanced electronic designs.
• Design and optimize multilayer PCBs (high-speed, RF, power distribution).
• Perform signal integrity, power integrity, thermal analyses, and worst-case assessments.
• Develop hardware bring-up strategies, integration procedures, and test plans.
• Execute board-level validation, troubleshooting, and performance testing for compliance.
• Support manufacturing transitions and production-readiness activities.
• Investigate and resolve issues during development, integration, testing, and production.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams.
• Provide technical mentorship and promote design standards.
