Job summary

Lam Research Corporation in Tualatin, OR is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop complex electrical systems for advanced semiconductor deposition tools. You will conduct tests, analyze results, and communicate design intent in reviews.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor juniors, and develop specifications for electro-mechanical systems, power distribution, and PCB design. This role offers on-site work with flexible hybrid options.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years; or equivalent work experience.
Hands-on experience in electronic circuit design (analog, digital), signal and controls theory, development and associated electrical board design, troubleshooting and validation.
Solid understanding of AC/DC Power distribution systems.
In depth system level understanding of Electrical architecture, system integration, and applications.
Excellent working knowledge in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and low voltage circuit design for power and control applications.
Expertise in application of power and controls technologies for systems automation.
Knowledgeable in CAD tools for circuit design and simulation (e.g., PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN, AutoCAD, Spice, ADS, HFSS).

Responsibilities

Design and develop complex electrical systems, sub-systems, and/or solutions, applying engineering methods to design.
Contributes to research and development efforts by collecting and analyzing data to improve electrical system designs.
Develops functional specifications for electrical/ electro-mechanical systems and power distribution components.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering design teams to design and modify custom and OEM system components.
Perform hands-on test and validation utilizing lab equipment to characterize the performance of the electrical/ electro-mechanical systems.
Prepare high-quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, analysis, and results to diverse audiences in design reviews.
Acts as a resource and mentor for more junior colleagues.
