Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer to own electrical design for automated production equipment at the Solid Rocket Motor plant in McHenry, MS. You will ensure safe, compliant power distribution and oversee standards, drawings, and coordination with outside firms.

The role requires leading root-cause analysis, mentoring staff, and driving reliability across electrical systems while maintaining strict safety practices and NEC/NFPA compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar required.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E safety practices.
• Experience owning electrical scope of capital projects from design through energization.
• Experience with industrial power distribution (transformers, panelboards, grounding).
• Proficient in selecting components and sizing wires for control cabinets.
• Experience producing/reviewing electrical drawings in AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
• Electrical troubleshooting up to 600VAC.
• U.S. Person due to export-controlled information access.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical design and design review for production equipment and facility power at the McHenry, MS plant.
• Set and enforce internal electrical standards, drawing conventions, and code compliance across the facility.
• Review and red-line contractor electrical packages (panels, diagrams, load calculations).
• Coordinate with facilities, construction, and outside firms on power distribution and grounding.
• Specify electrical equipment for new and modified production lines.
• Ensure NEC/NFPA compliance and hazardous location requirements.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for electrical failures.
• Mentor engineers and technicians on electrical design and safety.
