Apptronik in Austin, Texas is seeking an experienced senior electrical engineer to own power electronics and power distribution for the Apollo humanoid robot. You will lead PCBAs design, battery integration, and vendor alignment across manufacturing and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes fast-paced hardware development, rigorous validation, and clear documentation to ensure robust, scalable production of high-performance electronics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• Experience with power electronics, batteries, and PCBA design.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (Altium) and PLM systems (Arena).
• Ability to travel up to 10% within the US/internationally.

Responsibilities

• Electronics Owner from Concept to Production: design, simulate, implement, and test multi-layer PCBAs.
• Battery Module Owner: drive battery strategy with internal teams and vendors.
• Validation & Evaluation: develop test plans and use lab equipment to verify performance and safety.
• Root-Cause Analysis & Debugging: identify defects and implement corrective actions.
• Lifecycle Management & Vendor Alignment: manage lifecycles and vendor relationships for production scaling.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: mentor engineers and coordinate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
