Job summary

BD is seeking a senior Electrical Engineer to join its robotics-focused pharmacy automation team in Durham, NC. The role involves architecture, design, prototyping, verification, validation, certification and manufacturing support for next-generation systems.

You will lead cross-functional efforts, drive improvements in quality and performance, and contribute to regulatory compliance across multiple product lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 10+ years of applicable experience.
• Experience with Altium Designer including schematic capture and PCB layout.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver critical product enhancements and next-generation robotic systems from concept through production.
• Support multiple concurrent R&D initiatives with global technical teams to meet milestones.
• Improve product quality, reliability, and performance across the Pharmacy Automation portfolio through troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Develop electrical solutions for new and sustaining products, including test systems and diagnostics tools.
• Create, maintain and release technical documentation for hardware development, integration, manufacturing and service.
• Provide technical leadership and support for regulatory compliance and certification activities.
