Job summary

Brindley Engineering is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to apply advanced electrical engineering concepts to refinery maintenance and capital projects in Illinois. You will design electrical systems, support field teams, and establish standards to improve reliability and equipment availability.

The role requires leadership of engineers and technicians, experience with high voltage systems up to 138 kV, and strong communication. A PE license is preferred and a robust benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
10+ years of related experience.
P.E. preferred.
Familiarity with SAP, MS Office, and databases.
Experience mentoring and leading teams.
HV equipment up to 138 kV.

Responsibilities

Design moderately complex electrical systems for capital projects.
Support field technicians with complex problems during project execution.
Develop, review, and modify refinery electrical standards.
Develop Turnaround work and ensure scope is captured in conceptual phase.
Provide calculations/settings for UPS systems, motors, transformers, relays, etc.
Act as electrical SME for capital projects with electrical scope.
Review and approve electrical system studies for refinery up to 138 kV.
Update refinery documentation for electrical modifications.
Review IFA packages and direct EPCs on designs.
Assist maintenance during unplanned events.
