Job summary

SAIC is seeking an Electrical Engr Principal for our Crane, IN location to support radar systems development, testing, repair, and maintenance, including AN/SPS-73 and SPQ-9B implementations. You will design test fixtures, develop procedures, and lead diagnostics for complex CCAs and power modules.

The role requires a Bachelor's and 9+ years (or a Master’s with 7+ years) in Electrical Engineering, with strong schematics literacy and hands-on HV experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 9+ years in Electrical Engineering.
• Masters degree with 7+ years preferred.
• Experience in testing and repairing power supplies, RF modules, and CCAs.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.
• Experience with high-voltage power systems (115VAC 3-phase, 440VAC).

Responsibilities

• Develop test processes, procedures, and specifications.
• Design and fabricate test fixtures and test sets for system evaluations.
• Collaborate with technicians for testing and repair of radar system consoles and components.
• Review and interpret CCAs schematics and drawings for clarity.
• Perform gap analyses to identify missing maintenance data.
• Define and document test specs for power supplies, RF modules, and CCAs.
• Work with high-voltage power systems and 115VAC/440VAC equipment.
• Maintain and test radar systems using approved protocols.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex radar issues.
• Coordinate with leadership on status and improvements.
