Job summary

Engineering Driven Design PC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager to lead electrical design on building projects across commercial, healthcare, and institutional sectors. You will own multidisciplinary MEP/FP projects from kickoff through construction, coordinating engineering teams and communicating directly with clients.

You should bring 10+ years of consulting engineering experience, strong NEC knowledge, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• 10+ years of consulting engineering and MEP/FP building design.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution and building electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of the NEC and applicable building, energy, fire, and life-safety codes.
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary MEP/FP projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, schedules, and budgets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable interacting directly with clients and making technical recommendations.
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design of commercial, healthcare, institutional, industrial, and other building projects.
• Design and oversee power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, grounding, and related electrical systems.
• Manage multidisciplinary MEP/FP design projects from kickoff through construction.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and other consultants.
• Coordinate the work of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.
• Review drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical submissions for quality and completeness.
• Participate in site investigations and evaluate existing building conditions.
• Provide construction administration, including responses to RFIs, submittal reviews, field observations, and resolution of construction issues.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to younger engineers and designers.
• Help improve our engineering standards, processes, and technical knowledge base.

Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager - Building Systems

EngineeringDrivenDesign is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager to join our team.

We're looking for someone with approximately 10+ years of experience in building systems engineering who is comfortable wearing two hats: serving as a strong technical electrical engineer and taking ownership of multidisciplinary MEP/FP projects from initial client discussions through construction.

This is not simply a production engineering position. We're looking for someone who can lead projects, communicate directly with clients, coordinate engineering teams, mentor younger staff, and make good decisions without needing constant direction.

What You'll Do

Compensation

Expected base salary range: $140,000-$165,000, depending on experience, technical capabilities, professional licensure, project management experience, and ability to independently lead projects.
