Job summary

GPAC in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer/Project Manager to lead multi-discipline building electrical design projects. You will direct design work, coordinate with clients and consultants, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure code compliance across phases.

Ideal candidates have a PE license, a BS in Electrical Engineering, 8+ years of relevant experience, and strong AutoCAD/Revit skills.

Qualifications

• P.E. licensure is required.
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience.
• Expertise in all aspects of building electrical design such as lighting, power distribution, communications, and fire alarm.

Responsibilities

• Function as lead electrical engineer for multi-discipline projects, through all phases of process.
• Perform electrical design tasks and calculations for the electrical designs aspects of buildings; coordinating project electrical requirements with clients and consultants both in-house and outside.
• Perform code reviews.
• Oversee projects and technicians.
• Establish and maintain electrical fees and provide budgeting for assigned projects.
• Work independently as well as in a multi-discipline team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.
