Job summary

Orionplacement in Columbus, OH is seeking an electrical engineer to design electrical distribution, power, and lighting systems for commercial building projects. You will prepare drawings, technical specs, cost estimates, and construction documentation, and coordinate designs using AutoCAD and Revit.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver integrated building solutions while applying Ohio codes to ensure safe, compliant designs.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of electrical engineering or electrical design experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and lighting design for commercial buildings.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience preparing electrical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Familiarity with Ohio electrical codes and building design requirements.
  • Consulting engineering or MEP design experience is highly desirable.
  • Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, not required.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Location: Columbus, OH. This is an on-site opportunity offering close collaboration with our engineering and architectural teams. We welcome qualified candidates interested in relocating to the Columbus area.

Note: Candidates must have 4+ years of electrical engineering or design experience, knowledge of commercial building electrical systems and lighting design, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit. An Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
