Career Collective is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (level IV) to lead electrical design and delivery on critical projects in the Virginia/LEX region. The role emphasizes technical excellence, customer satisfaction, and active participation in business development through proposals and client meetings.

Ideal candidates will bring extensive experience in power distribution, medium-voltage systems, and coordination across multi-discipline teams while maintaining schedules and budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 10+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• Professional Engineering registration or willingness to pursue this designation.
• Proven ability to design electrical utility generation and distribution systems.
• Experience with Process, Instrumentation, and Controls.

Responsibilities

• Designs and supports power distribution, including sizing motor feeders and starters.
• Designs medium-voltage and 480-volt power systems for industrial, utility, and building applications.
• Prepares engineering documents and equipment specs to meet scope and codes.
• Reviews and approves contractor submittals and equipment selections.
• Develops project plans, schedules, labor and cost estimates, and ensures budget compliance.
• Coordinates with departments, subcontractors, and customers; provides on-site observation and startup support.
• Supports business development through proposals and customer meetings.
