Job summary

Stanley Consultants in Austin, TX is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead design of power plant sites, microgrids, and campus infrastructure with medium and low voltage systems.

The role requires PE registration, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with ETAP or SKM. Occasional field visits and budget/schedule management are expected. Hybrid or remote work options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) Registration.
• 10+ years of relevant electrical design experience.
• Experience with military bases, central plants, and campus infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout of power plant sites, microgrids, and power distribution with medium and low voltage systems; computer modeling/analysis of electrical systems.
• Design of schematic and wiring diagrams; preparation of equipment and system specifications.
• Prepare reports; determine code requirements; perform and review design computations.
• Coordinate technical efforts within discipline areas as necessary.
• Manage a design budget and schedule.
• Proficient in developing engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform and check engineering calculations.
• Size, select, and specify electrical equipment and coordinate information with vendors.
• Perform project field site visits.
