Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in a hybrid role with locations including Muscatine, IA, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Minneapolis, MN, or Remote.

You will design NEC-compliant electrical systems, perform load-flow/short-circuit studies, and model microgrids and storage projects while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and providing field support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 2–8 years of experience in industrial, water/wastewater, federal, or power generation projects.
• Proficiency with electrical analysis tools such as ETAP, SKM, Easypower, AGI, or Visual Lighting Software.
• Experience with AutoCAD/Revit is a plus.
• PE or FE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams by managing other discipline engineers.
• Perform electrical system analysis—including load flow, short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies.
• Design and model microgrid (distributed generation), battery storage energy systems, and photovoltaic electrical systems.
• Create electrical designs in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) for medium- and low-voltage distribution, mechanical building systems, and lighting.
• Include campus distribution and building low-voltage systems, and work with European voltage standards where applicable.
• Provide engineering drawings and specifications; perform basic engineering calculations; assist in sizing, selecting, and specifying electrical equipment; coordinate vendor information.
• Conduct project field site visits and support interdisciplinary coordination.
