Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer to lead and execute complex electrical design across power generation, transmission, distribution, and storage systems. The role requires independent judgment and a PE license.

You'll coordinate with clients, drive design across multi-office EPC teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to training programs. Bachelor's in EE and 10–17 years experience mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10-13 years of relevant Electrical engineering experience or 14-17 years of related work experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Electrical Engineering (Power).

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct independent electrical engineering work.
• Lead design, development, modification, and evaluation of electrical components and systems for power generation, transmission, distribution, and storage.
• Develop conceptual designs for electrical projects with specialized requirements.
• Interpret new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data.
• Communicate complex technical issues and recommendations to upper management and project leadership.
• Support preparation of cost estimates, staffing requirements, and project schedules.
• Prepare or oversee discipline estimates and work plans per project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate with client representatives to obtain approval of Electrical-related work.
• Mentor Electrical engineering personnel with on-the-job training and guidance.
• Participate in and provide input to technical training and educational programs.
