Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for public sector projects, guide technical strategy, and work on complex power systems powering critical infrastructure.

You will conduct field investigations, prepare construction plans and specifications, and develop audit reports while coordinating scope, schedule, and budget and maintaining client relationships. Occasional travel required.

Qualifications

• Four-year accredited engineering degree is required.
• FE exam completed.
• 5–10 years relevant work experience.
• Understanding of electrical building systems operation and energy use.
• Experience in developing conceptual, pricing, and construction documents.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Experience applying NFPA 70 and NEC.
• Familiarity with IBC, IES standards and guidelines.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Organizational skills with task prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for public sector clients at conceptual, development, and construction levels.
• Conduct field investigations to evaluate feasibility and improvements.
• Prepare electrical systems plans and specifications for construction.
• Prepare technical audit reports of electrical infrastructure.
• Assist or lead construction administration as assigned.
• Develop project plans aligning scope, schedule, and budget.
• Maintain positive client relationships.
• Assist in sales strategy and presentations.
