Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting, LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Generation to join our growing team. This role leads complex electrical design and project execution across oil & gas, renewables, data centers, and power generation.

You will act as technical lead, mentor junior staff, coordinate with clients and vendors, and develop power system designs, interconnects, and specifications. A PE license and 10+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Experience leading medium-to-large electrical projects.
• Direct experience supporting industrial facilities.
• Proficiency with SKM or ETAP.
• Strong NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, API, and AGA knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead moderate to large-scale electrical engineering projects from concept through delivery.
• Serve as technical lead and make decisions on complex engineering issues.
• Develop and oversee power system designs, controls drawings, calculations, and reports.
• Design electrical service interconnects with local utilities.
• Prepare procurement, installation and testing specs.
• Perform studies, detailed design, reviews, field investigations, and reporting.
• Model systems with SKM/ETAP for analysis.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Identify risks and scope changes early and proactively.
• Contribute to proposals, cost estimates, and business development.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
