Job summary

You will own electrical designs and drive decisions with mechanical and system engineers to deploy modular data collection payloads for clients, in a DoW environment with emphasis on reliability and interoperability.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and testing AC and DC power systems.
• Experience with power conversion systems (AC/DC, DC/DC, inverters, rectifiers).
• Hardware design, prototyping, and lab validation.
• Past performance utilizing Altium or equivalent software for PCB and circuit design.
• Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Projects).

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end power generation systems design and development (battery, solar, alternative sources).
• Define system requirements for power generation, distribution and management.
• Develop and execute test plans for validating system performance and reliability.
• Hands‑on experience building and integrating hardware components and embedded systems.
• Lead design and construction of RF sensing payloads and modular buoy platform integrations.
• Perform trade‑offs on power, weight and sensor package requirements.
• Evaluate modularity and interoperability between system platforms.
