Job summary

Orange Charger Inc. in the Bay Area seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer with power systems experience to design, prototype, and scale hardware across our energy management platform, from device to site to grid.

You will lead electrical architecture and design for our energy hardware, maintain and launch products, extend power control systems (batteries, inverters, EV chargers), and ensure safe, reliable operation across the stack.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing and shipping embedded hardware with power systems experience (AC/DC, protection, sensing, thermal).
• Experience building power control systems, microgrids, BESS, and building management systems.
• Device-to-cloud integration: current sensors, RS-485, Modbus, gateways, and how they connect to a software platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical architecture and design across energy management hardware, from connected devices to site-level power control.
• Maintain current products, launch new ones, and push the bounds of what comes next.
• Extend and scale power control systems: batteries, inverters, EV chargers, and other large loads connected to the grid.
