Job summary

WSP USA invites applications for a Senior Electrical Engineer (Generation) to join our Power & Energy team in a nationwide search across preferred offices. You will lead electrical design for complex power generation projects, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and support proposals and budgeting.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of experience, a PE license, and strong knowledge of CC/SCGT facilities, protection and control, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant post‑education experience as a power engineer providing design deliverables for capital projects in power generation.
• Professional Engineer license required (multiple states preferred).
• Highly proficient with power engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work‑related issues.

Responsibilities

• Produce, coordinate, review and/or approve electrical design plans for complex power plant projects.
• Apply high‑level electrical engineering techniques to support all project phases, from preliminary design to commissioning support and record drawings.
• Support generation project scoping, budgeting, and proposals.
• Oversee development of power plant electrical drawings (Onelines, Breaker Control Schematics, Bus Duct Layouts, Equipment Elevations, Cable Schedules).
• Lead larger‑scale electrical engineering projects with QA/QC adherence.
