WSP USA is seeking a Mid‑Level Electrical Engineer (Generation) to join our Power & Energy team in a nationwide search, with preference for offices in Seattle, Meridian, Atlanta, Houston, Oradell, Mount Laurel, Overland Park.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience, an Engineer in Training certification, and a BS in Electrical Engineering. You will lead junior engineers, perform calculations, prepare plans, and coordinate with owners and other disciplines.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering with 5–7 years of post‑education experience on large capital projects.
Engineer‑in‑Training certification and licensure progression.
Experience with design deliverables, reporting, and procurement coordination.
Strong knowledge of electrical design, codes, and construction practices.
Ability to manage small to mid‑size projects and lead junior staff.
Proficient technical writing and communication skills for reports and design packets.

Responsibilities

Research, plan, and design transmission and distribution substations, power systems, and protective schemes.
Lead junior engineers and coordinate with project teams and owners.
Develop electrical calculations for loads, grounding, short‑circuit studies, and layouts.
Prepare plans, specs, cost estimates, and phasing plans; supervise QA/QC.
Review third‑party documents, procurement lists, and project plans.
Create data visualizations, reports, sketches, and illustrations.
Provide technical input on engineering, design, testing, and construction procedures.
Ensure compliance with HASPs and regulatory documentation.
