Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Generation to join our growing team in Nashville. This role leads complex electrical design projects for industrial facilities, including oil & gas and renewables, with hybrid/remote options.

The successful candidate will be a technical leader, mentor teammates, and collaborate with clients to deliver high-quality engineering solutions from concept through execution. PE license and 10+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience leading technical teams on industrial facilities.
• Experience using SKM or ETAP.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, API and AGA practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead moderate to large-scale electrical engineering projects from concept through delivery.
• Serve as a technical lead and make sound decisions on complex engineering issues.
• Develop and oversee power system designs, controls drawings, calculations, reports and project documentation.
• Design electrical service interconnects with local utilities.
• Prepare specifications for procurement, installation, and testing of electrical equipment.
• Perform and/or lead electrical system studies, detailed design, reviews, field investigations, and reporting.
• Use SKM or ETAP for modeling and analysis.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Identify risks and scope changes early.
• Contribute to proposals, cost estimating, and business development.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers.
