Job summary

MEA Energy in Hauppauge, NY seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to drive analog and power electronics development across the full product lifecycle. You will design, test, and optimize power conversion systems for high-reliability environments including aerospace and industrial applications.

The role requires a strong background in power electronics, schematic capture, PCB layout, EMI/EMC mitigation, and hands-on lab testing with MATLAB/Simulink experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Strong foundation in analog circuit design and power electronics.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium or similar).
• Proficiency with lab equipment such as advanced oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and power analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test analog and power electronic circuits, including AC-DC and DC-DC conversion systems.
• Collaborate across product lifecycle from concept to production with emphasis on reliability.
• Contribute to DT/validation plans, worst-case analysis, and derating.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues at board and system level and implement corrective actions.
• Support transition from prototype to production with documentation and test procedures.
• Interact with cross-functional teams including mechanical, manufacturing, and QA.
