Job summary

White-Recruitment is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a power-led role in Richmond, VA. You will design power distribution, coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and lead design through construction and commissioning.

Responsibilities include producing diagrams and coordinating with controls vendors, ensuring NEC/NFPA/UL compliance and cleanroom standards. This on-site role offers project travel and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of relevant electrical design experience
• Experience with 480 V distribution, backup generation, UPS and fire/life-safety systems
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA and building-code requirements
• PE licence or ability to obtain within six months
• Cleanroom, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, data-center, critical-facility or advanced-manufacturing experience advantageous
• Revit, AutoCAD, BIM/VDC and BMS/BAS coordination experience would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Design 480/277/208/120 V and low-voltage power-distribution systems.
• Produce one-line diagrams, panel schedules, control diagrams and lighting layouts.
• Specify transformers, switchgear, panels, UPS, generators and emergency-power systems.
• Coordinate fire alarms, door interlocks, access control and BMS interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, UL, local building codes and relevant cleanroom standards.
• Support site surveys, construction, installation, commissioning and as-built documentation.
